About David

David has litigated appeals in all 5 appellate districts and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is best known for Illinois leading case on shared parenting, Ford v. Virgin, 2021 IL App (3d) 190650.  

 

His other notable reversals include a trial court interpretation of Illinois' SIJS statute for immigrants; see In re Parentage of Ervin C.-R., 2020 IL App (2d) 200236, and an improperly set child support judgment. See Britton v Britton, 2022 IL App (5th) 210065.

David is a member of the Illinois Pretrial Fairness Act Appellate Panel, the Illinois Supreme Court Criminal Appeals Panel, and the Cook Court Juvenile Protection Appellate Panel. In his spare time he runs a video channel dedicated to covering recent Appellate Court decisions.
